Le Rughe
LE RUGHE
Le Rughe Winery was founded in the 1960s in Gaiarine, in the province of Treviso, Veneto, by Gaetano Sandro. Originally a small family business focused on wine retail, it gradually expanded into full-scale wine production. Over the decades, the Sandro family developed vineyards across three key zones — the mountains near Belluno, the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, and the plains of Gaiarine — giving Le Rughe access to a range of microclimates and grape varieties.
Today, Le Rughe is known for producing Prosecco Superiore DOCG from the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area, along with still wines like Pinot Grigio, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery remains family-run, emphasizing sustainability and organic practices, blending tradition with modern enology while showcasing the distinct terroirs of northern Veneto.
