Domaine de gry-sablon
Dominique and Claudine Morel have been at the helm of Domaine de Gry-Sablon in Emeringes in Beaujolais for more than 20 years. Created at the very beginning of the 20th century by Dominique's great-grandfather, the estate today consists of 18 hectares, all managed using sustainable agriculture.
Domaine de Gry-Sablon’s winemaker, Dominique Morel, produces wines from 12 different appellations across 18 hectares in Beaujolais. He works his vineyards sustainably and almost all work is done by hand. In the cellar he uses natural yeast and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, seeking to preserve the pure character of his fruit. His wines are vibrant and fruit driven, with good colour and concentration on the palate.
Since the 1990s, Dominique Morel has been producing authentic wines that respect the heritage and values of a historic Beaujolais estate whose flavors have enchanted the palates of wine lovers for over a century.
Owning vineyards on hillsides and steep slopes could frighten any winegrower, yet these are ideal conditions for Dominique’s Gamay grape variety.
The preservation of this exceptional natural environment requires us to respect sustainable cultivation practices that have allowed the Gry-Sablon estate to be certified High Environmental Value.
